Thank you for visiting my website for awareness based mind/body wellbeing. My intention (mission) is to assist as many people as possible to free themselves from their unnecessary stress and suffering, so they may enjoy each moment of life fully and honestly with ease and grace.

The greatest obstacle we all face to living the life we aspire to, is our conditioned view of the world around us. This manifests as a misperception, where we experience reality not as it actually is, but as an illusion that is projected on to it by the conditioning of our mind. Our conditioned (ego) mind constantly wants life to be different than it is, to only be what we like or believe should be happening. This innocent misperception causes us to be constantly at odds with our experience in each moment. This resistance to “what is” is the root cause of all the forms of stress and suffering, that arise in our lives. My work is dedicated to helping my clients and students to embody the tools that will allow them to unlearn the beliefs and habits that create this misperception, and reveal the true nature of their being, a life at ease with what is.

The conditioned mind cannot fix or change itself. We must use an aspect of our being that is outside the ego mind, and has no argument with reality as it is. This is our true nature, sometimes referred to as higher mind, big mind, consciousness, universal intelligence and an endless array of other names, all of which fail to describe it adequately. Regardless of what we call it, it is important to know that we are all connected to this intelligence, that is actually who and what we are. But for the purposes of this work, the term we want to use and understand is Awareness.

Awareness is that part of us that experiences everything. It is always present and receives its impressions through our senses. Awareness can be in one of two postures. It can be identified with the view of conditioned mind, only experiencing through the filter of that view and storyline. Or it is free, experiencing everything from the unconditioned view of true nature, experiencing things as they are, experiencing the truth of that moment. The tools we employ to liberate our awareness from its identification with ego mind are direct or true meditation and inquiry in the true nature of things, sometimes called spiritual inquiry.

These tools are the core of all the work I share with clients and students. When we embody these fundamental practices, we then have a foundation from which to address whatever issues are causing us to suffer. These may be stress of any kind, emotional extremes, confusion, health problems, grief and loss, low self esteem and identity issues, relationships, loneliness, disconnection, desire to change, bad habits and many more. There is nothing that cannot be addressed by the conscious use of these awareness-based tools.
